ANBAR

 

  • Iraqi Joint Operations Command announces the start of Anbar Liberation Operations.

Anbar battle has started (video).

The JOC also says the operations continue to liberate the areas around Baiji Refinery.

Daesh says its terrorists attacked the Iraqi forces cut their supply lines in west Baiji.

 

  • Iraqi MoD says the Joint Forces and the PMFs are surrounding Daesh in Anbar and that operations to liberate Anbar are going as planned.

 

  • Anbar Police Commander announces the start of Ramadi liberation from three sides (east, west and north). He says the tribal fighters and the PMFs will participate in the operations.

The APC also says the Iraqi forces surrounded Daesh terrorists inside Ramadi and “will not let them escape”.

Anbar Police Commander says the local police officers are rejoining the force in Habbaniya base and new regiments will be formed for them. He also says the delay in the salaries happened because there were 21,000 registered “ghost soldiers”.

However, an officer in Anbar Police says most of Anbar policemen refuse to rejoin their units because of the marginalization they face and because their salaries have not been paid.

 

  • A member of Anbar GC says the Iraqi forces cut all Daesh supply lines in south Ramadi. He also says the security forces and the PMFs are still arriving to Hsaiba (7 KMs east of Ramadi) preparing to liberate Ramadi.

The same GC member says there is no secret agreement between Anbar local governments and the Americans for an American intervention in Anbar and the local government reported all talks with the Americans to the Iraqi government.

Another member of Anbar GC says the Council issued instructions to its members not to interfere in the military operations in the governorate.

The Deputy Chairman of Anbar GC says Iraqi forces took over Al-Tash and Al-Ankour areas near Ramadi preparing for the upcoming operation to liberate the city.

Two local leaders from Ramadi say the operations are to liberate the surroundings of Ramadi and not the city itself.

  • Kata’eb Hezbollah says on Monday it managed to arrest hundreds of non-Iraq Daesh terrorists around

 

  • Iraqi Military Intelligence says 13 Daesh terrorists were killed and 2 of their vehicles were destroyed in rocket attacks the Harariyat area of Anbar.

 

  • A commander in the PMFs (Sunni) says the Iraqi forces managed to kill Daesh military leader in Qarma Hatem Al-Jumaili (aka Abu Mus’ab Al-Muhajer) and 14 other terrorists including 2 foreign terrorists in east Falluja. He also says Iraqi forces continue Qarma liberation battles supported by Badr Militia, Asa’eb Ahl Al-Haq and other

 

  • Falluja Police Commander says the Iraqi Joint Forces launched mortar attacks on 3 Daesh hideouts in the Zouba’ area near Ameriyat Al-Falluja and killed 15 Daesh

SALAHUDDIN

 

  • The PMFs announce the start of Labbyak Ya Hussein Operations to liberate north Salahuddin and north Anbar.

Badr Militia leader says the advance of the PMFs in the operations “exceeded the expectations” and Daesh terrorists are using the IEDs in a “losing way” to cover their retreat.

 

  • A source in the PMFs says the PMFs launched an attack on Daesh south of Thirthar Lake and managed to cut Daesh supply lines between Samarra and

 

  • Badr Militia says it managed to liberate 27 square KMs south west of Samarra and killed 70 Daesh terrorists and destroyed 9 of their vehicles.

Another source at Badr says 60 terrorists were killed in the operation and 120 IEDs and 16 booby-trapped houses were disassembled. He also says 4 ex-Baathist Daesh leaders were arrested.

The Spokesman of the PMFs says threat to Samarra has been removed and large number of terrorists escaped fled.

 

 

  • Iraqi MoD says Iraqi Army Aviation managed to kill Daesh’s “minister of war” in an airstrike in Salahuddin. The Ministry he used to be a general in Saddam’s army.

The Ministry also says the IAA destroyed an important Daesh communications center west of Dujail in Salahuddin and killed 17 terrorists.

  • A local source says Iraqi forces managed to liberate two thirds of Baiji District and Daesh terrorists are withdrawing to Al-Shirqat.

  • Iraqi MoD says Iraqi Army Aviation saved two PMFs wounded fighters in an airborne operation in Kassarat area, 80 km south of Tikrit.

 

  • Iraqi MoD says the 17th Infantry Brigade in the Iraqi Army advanced 4 km near Balad in Salahuddin killing 3 Daesh terrorists and destroying one vehicle and one booby-trapped house.

 

BAGHDAD

  • Iraqi Ministry of Displacement and Migration says it intends to establish a 500-tents camp for displaced families in Anbar near Bzaibiz crossroad.

 

  • A source in the Iraqi MoI says 2 people were killed and 6 injured when an IED exploded near a car dealership in the Basmaya area in south Baghdad.

Another source in the MoI says one civilian was killed and 5 injured when an IED exploded inside a bus in the Mashtal area in east Baghdad.

Another source says one civilian was killed and 6 injured in an IED explosion in downtown Baghdad.

The Iraqi Federal Police Commander says 4 Daesh terrorists were arrested in Samarra and 8 IEDs were disassembled in Baghdad.

The Security Committee in Baghdad GC says Baghdad is completely safe and the news about Daesh infiltration of Baghdad is just rumors appearing in advance of any major military operation against Daesh.

The Spokesman of As’eb Ahl Al-Haq says his troops’ goal is to secure Baghdad surroundings. He says some Daesh terrorists entered Baghdad as displaced people.

A security source says a Daesh sniper shot at an Iraqi Army checkpoint in Mishahda area in Tarmiya in north Baghdad killing one soldier and injuring 3.

Local sources say an IED exploded in Mada’en District in south Baghdad injuring one citizen.

Baghdad Center for Human Rights says 3 prisoners in Baghdad and one in Nasiriya died during last week because of negligence.

A security source says bodies of 3 men were found shot dead near Sadr City in Baghdad.

 

  • Daesh supporters say their sources inside the Green Zone in Baghdad told them that the American Central Command issued an order to withdraw all the American military advisors to Qatar and that the American Ambassador ordered to evacuated two thirds of the Embassy personnel.

 

  • Iraqi Council of Ministers decides to grant paid leave for all government employees who want to join the PMFs. The COMSEC also gives 10 days ultimatum for security personnel who left their positions otherwise they will be fired and sued.

 

  • The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament says the Iraqi Army could disintegrate if there were no accountability and if no one got questioned for neglecting their jobs. He also says the PMFs are not an official force until the National Guard Law gets issued.

Iraqi MPs talk about differences among the political blocs regarding the NG Law. Shia MPs want to make the NG a more centralized force while Sunnis want it to report to the local government. Also, Shia MPS want to have 60% of the NG in Baghdad to be from Shia fighters while the Sunnis insist on equal percentages.

  • A source in the Iraqi MoD says PM Abadi issues orders to prevent soldiers from using their mobile phones during battles. The source says Daesh “feeds” on the information exchanged by phone between soldiers.

 

  • Iraqi MoD says it started to arm the Iraqi Army’s 16th Division in cooperation with the International Coalition after the Division finished its training. The 15th and the 16th Iraqi Army Divisions are within Ninewa Liberation Operations.

 

OTHER PROVINCES

 

  • Najaf Police says they arrested 4 suspected terrorists in different areas of the governorate.

 

  • The Spokesman of Saraya Al-Salam in Kerbala says their troops took over areas west of the governorate in order to secure its

 

  • Muthanna governor says a new operations command between the security forces and the PMFs was established in the governorate to secure its borders.

 

  • A security source says 2 PMFs fighters were killed and 3 injured when an IED exploded on their patrol in Abu Saida, north east of Baaquba in Diyala.

 

  • Daesh publishes photos of its released terrorists from Al-Khales prison in Diyala.

 

KIRKUK

 

  • A security source says the Iraqi Army Aviation launched airstrikes on a Daesh convoy near Hawija in Kirkuk governorate killing and injuring 25 terrorists and destroying all their vehicles.

Another security source says 4 Daesh terrorists were killed while riding in a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber near Hawija Bridge.

A security source says the bodies of 2 men kidnapped recently by the militias were found in two different areas south of Kirkuk. One of the victims was a mosque imam and the other was a government employee.

 

NINEWA

 

  • A local source in Mosul says on Monday Daesh leader, Baghdadi, and two of his top aides arrived secretly to Mosul from Raqqa. He says Baghdadi appointed a Chinese terrorist as the leader of Daesh in Anbar and made several other changes in the local leaderships.
  • The Director of Mosul Journalists Network says Daesh executed Abdul Majeed Fareed who used to work as a driver for the Al-Iraqia TV Channel.

 

  • A local source in Mosul says a Coalition airstrike on the Abu Mariya area west of Mosul killed a Daesh commander called Mijbil Al-Luwaizi and 20 other terrorists. The source says that Luwaizi was the manager of Mosul Police Command before June 2014 and was appointed by Daesh as the commander of their military operations.

 

  • Kata’eb Al-Mosul says they shot and killed a Daesh terrorist near a fuel station in Hamdaniya.

 

  • Daesh publishes photos of the restaurants in Mosul.

 

  • Local sources in Mosul say Daesh moved their training camps from the open areas on the outskirts of Mosul to inside the city. They say Daesh shortened the training period from 60 days to 45 days and are using halls inside the city (like social or cultural centers) for their meetings and trainings. They also say Daesh warned their terrorists not to move in groups of more than 3 vehicles.

SYRIA

 

  • The YPG says they liberated two villages from Daesh on the borders between Turkey and Syria and managed to enter Mabrouka town supported by heavy airstrikes from the Coalition cutting Daesh supply lines south of Sari Kanya. They also say the 15th Brigade of the Free Syrian Army has joined Burkan Al-Furat Operations Command that fights Daesh near Kobani.

Local activists say the Kurdish forces managed to stop two suicide attacks in the area.

 

  • 3 more people were killed by Daesh planted mines in Kobani Countryside.

 

  • Syrian News Agency says 140 Daesh terrorists were killed in an airstrike by the Syrian regime’s air force on Raqqa.

 

  • Daesh says that 10 women were killed in a Coalition airstrike on the road between Aleppo and Raqqa. Daesh also says they executed two suicide attacks on the Kurdish forces in Ras Al-Ain.
