A video of Iraqi forces trying to rescue an old woman from a booby-trapped house in Falluja. The woman was left in the house by her own son, a Daesh terrorist. [YouTube]

DaeshDaily comment. This story and countless similar stories show us clearly that Daesh terrorists in every community are the lowest of the low. This whole image of undefeated holy warriors is not only a big lie but an insult to humanity. When terrorists kill their own family members, they establish what Daesh is really worth as a supposedly religious organization.

A Ninewa MP says most of the Daesh leaders escaped Mosul with their families toward Raqqa and Syria. He also says there are neighborhoods in Mosul that are completely Daesh free. [Sumaria]

DaeshDaily comment. We aren’t quite ready to believe this, but will not be surprised to find pro-Daesh Iraqis in Mosul helping to provide Daesh foreign fighters with an exit from Mosul, in order to claim that they have helped to take Mosul back. The real motive would be to protect themselves from criminal prosecution now that Daesh is on the verge of defeat.

The source says Daesh multiplied the amount, claiming food prices are very high. The source says Daesh executed a clerk who objected to the amount and lashed fifteen citizens who refused to pay. [Sumaria]

DaeshDaily comment. Daesh multiplied the amount by 10. Zakat money is usually donated, in person, especially during Ramadan, and the money goes to poor people; it’s not supposed to be collected by force by Daesh thugs.

DaeshDaily comment. Another routine propaganda statement. All Coalition planes are American. All locations destroyed are civilian locations, and all the people killed are civilians. Daesh facilities and personnel are seldom hit in Daesh’s version of the story.

SOCIAL MEDIA SOURCES

Several social media sources talked about Daesh sidelining the chief of its religious committee, the Bahraini Turkey Al-Binali. Other sources have been talking about a rift between Baghdadi and his spokesman, Adnani. We don’t know if these reports are true.

However, the kind of split we see now, after Daesh’s defeats in Anbar, is different. The split is between Iraqis and foreigners. Many Daesh backers in the region are going back to the old story about the “tribal revolutionaries.” For example, Walid Al-Tabatabai’, a Kuwaiti Salafi MP who supported the insurgency in Iraq since 2003, called Daesh “our brothers” in 2014, but now says “we were deceived by Daesh and it is moving back to the desert.” On June 19th he tweeted “Reports about a coup against Daesh leaders in Falluja. The people’s resistance (against Iraqi forces) is being led by several leaders in different areas of the city.” This man was (and still is) a major fundraiser for the insurgency. He says that all Sunnis should pay 10% of their earnings; otherwise “we will lose like in Homs, Aleppo, Ramadi, and Falluja.”  The self-proclaimed Ninewa tribes spokesman, who said in 2014 that Mosul was living its most glorious days under Daesh, said recently that Daesh is leaving Mosul and the tribes are taking over the city. Some reports even suggested that Baghdadi will give a farewell speech to the people of Mosul soon.

Many Iraqi Daesh leaders, who are still fighting in Anbar and other areas, have tried to distance themselves from Daesh publicly, but they cannot explain why they are fighting with Daesh. And everyone knows Daesh never allowed any other group to exist in areas it controlled. Everyone has to pledge allegiance or gets killed. We would love to see how such double-face traitors justify their position now.
