DaeshDaily comment. While Daesh claims to embody the authentic version of Islam, its minions engage in senseless violence that demonstrates its total insensitivity to human life, and thus to Islamic values. There is no military advantage whatsoever from killing worshipers. The Shia majority in Iraq will not be coerced into acquiescence. While Daesh celebrates and rationalizes such events, the longer their stay in Iraq lasts, the more cynical they seem, the more obvious it seems that killing people is its own purpose, and that the thousands of massacres, executions, and other murders are only about the satisfaction of killing other people.
