The​​ Daily Telegraph​​ reported that UK security officials​​ said that​​ Iran deployed “hit squads” in Iraq to​​ intimidate and​​ silence its critics and influence the new Iraqi government,​​ by order of General Qasem Suleimani, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force. A​​ DaeshDaily​​ source said on Friday that a Kata’eb Sayyed Al-Shuhada’ commander was killed and his driver severely wounded when an IED exploded on their vehicle on the road between Baiji and Haditha.

DaeshDaily comment.​​ It is interesting to see that Daesh, in all its media reports,​​ claims that Tooz in Kirkuk. The same claim also goes​​ with​​ Allas and Ajil oilfields, and the Himrin Mountains area.​​ It’s not clear what they are trying to prove with this.



Baquba/Southeast Diyala

IFP announced on Thursday that a search of 6 villages on Friday resulted in destroying 3 tunnels and 2 IEDs. [SotIraq]

Hammam Al-Alil

A​​ DaeshDaily​​ source said on Friday that tribal PMF units captured 6 Daesh terrorists and confiscated “tens” of hand grenades and IEDs in Jahuni village. The source said the terrorists were hiding in a house and planning to plant the IEDs on the road to a PMF military position in the area. The source sent us photos of the confiscated explosives.

East (Deir Ez-Zor)

Deir Ez-Zor​​ District

The Coalition sent a shipment of military supplies to the SDF fighting east of the Euphrates. Sources close to the SDF published videos on social media on Friday of the shipment going towards Deir Ez-Zor.​​ SOHR​​ reports that 75 Coalition trailers entered SDF-held areas. 30 of them brought​​ Hummers and 20 brought Jeeps in addition to various other vehicles and fuel tankers. The battles intensified south of ​​ Deir Ez-Zor​​ between SDF and Daesh with dozens of casualties on both sides. Meanwhile, the US is training 30,000 fighters to join the SDF in their battles and is building observation posts in Kobane and Tal Abyad​​ on the Turkey border.​​ [Sumaria]​​ 


SOHR​​ says an IED exploded near Shahil town close to​​ Al-Tanak oilfield​​ southeast of Deir Ez-Zor, leaving​​ damage. SDF killed two Daesh militants in a raid of a house in​​ Al-Shahil, while unidentified gunmen shot an SDF fighter dead​​ in​​ Al-Shahil. Daesh attacked SDF HQ in the carpet factory in Busayrah​​ east of Deir Ez-Zor and engaged SDF fighters before withdrawing. [SyriaHR]


SOHR​​ says SDF initiated an arrest campaign targeting Daesh fighters who surrendered earlier and reached a reconciliation with the SDF in Deir Ez-Zor. Reasons behind the campaign are unknown. [SyriaHR]


Albu Kamal​​ District

A​​ DaeshDaily​​ source said on Friday that Coalition planes killed more than 20 Daesh terrorists in an airstrike on Hajin.​​ 


Manbij Military Council and Jaish Al-Thuwar militia, both under the SDF, thwarted a Daesh attack on their positions in Deir Ez-Zor, near the Iraq border. Coalition planes interfered to stop the attack initiated from Baghouz, Al-Susah, and Hajin. [Hawar]


On Friday morning,​​ Qasioun​​ published a video of Thursday morning showing that SDF members who had been arrested by Daesh on November 23 were injured in a Coalition airstrike on Kashma area near Sha’afa.​​ Forat Post​​ reported that in addition to the SDF POWs, 3 Daesh leaders and civilian detainees had also been killed in the Thursday morning attack. Qasioun​​ reported that on Friday Coalition planes attacked a hospital in Sha’afa, east of Deir Ez-Zor, killing and wounding dozens of civilians. ​​ Daesh’s​​ A3maq​​ had​​ published a video showing the damage and bodies of civilians, including children. Meanwhile, Syrian state media said that the total casualties of coalition raids were 30, most of them women and children. The story was confirmed by local activists who say 20 civilians were killed in the attacks. [Qasioun]

SOHR​​ says total casualties of Coalition airstrikes on Kashma and Sha’afa are 38, targeting a hospital and a prison. 16 civilians, 5 SDF POWs, and 22 Daesh militants were killed in these strikes. [SyriaHR]

SDF special units initiated special rescue operation freeing hundreds of civilians from Daesh captivity in Sha’afa village in Al-Susah. [Hawar]​​ 

Qasioun​​ also reported a very similar story (also attributed to​​ Forat Post)except that there were 4 Daesh leaders and the attack occurred on Wednesday morning. [Qasioun]

DaeshDaily comment.​​ As with many previous Qasioun stories about Coalition airstrikes, which always focus solely on alleged civilian casualties, one should await some confirmation before buying the story.


Daesh published on Thursday photos of targeting a Syrian Army position in Albu Kamal with an SPG9 rocket. [ICDNNov29]


Daesh sources published on Friday a video message, allegedly from families of SDF members captured by Daesh, asking the Daesh leader, Awwad Baghdadi, to release the prisoners and promising not to fight Daesh. [ICDNNov30]

DaeshDaily comment.​​ Daesh claims these people are from Shuaitat tribe, which is Daesh’s number one enemy in the Deir Ez-Zor area. This is a Daesh media stunt to undermine the SDF.​​ 




The​​ Turkish news service​​ Anadolu​​ reported that local sources said Israel attacked Syrian and Iranian targets in Daraa and Quneitra on Thursday​​ evening. The attack lasted about an hour and Syrian aerial defense returned fire. [Qasioun]

Daesh published on Thursday the 158th​​ issue of its​​ Naba’​​ magazine. In this issue, Daesh said it conducted​​ 61 attacks​​ last week in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Afghanistan, east Asia, and west Africa, killing or wounding more than 538 people, and destroying 21 vehicles. In this issue also Daesh published more details about its attack on the southeastern Libyan oasis town of Tazirbu. It said it killed 29 people, including the police chief of the town, and captured 11, including the commander of the military in the town, other officers, and the chairman of the municipal council.
