Daesh social media sources announced the death of Turki Al-Binali in a Coalition airstrike on Raqqa. He was considered Daesh’s religious leader, and was a student of top Saudi clerics and became famous when he issued a letter asking Muslims to pledge allegiance to Baghdadi.​​ [Ana Al-Muslim]​​

In a major development,​​ Syrian Kurdish leaders​​ formed the autonomous administration council of Sinjar with notable participation of YPG, YPJ, Sinjar protection units, and over 400 Yazidi representatives from all over the world. Iraqi forces captured an Arab tribal leader from the Sinjar area while he was in Rutba and trying to reach Al-Qa’im after fleeing from Al-Qayrawan. In an obvious response to the controversial comments of Badr commander Hadi Al-Amiri yesterday, A PMF commander says the PMFs will​​ not​​ cross the Syrian border because such an operation needs CoR approval and international agreements. Al-Amiri had said the PMFs would coordinate with all parties on the other side of the border “except the terrorists.” A PMF spokesman says neither PMFs nor any other Iraqi force can cross the border without CoR approval. He says talking about sending PMFs to Syria while Iraqi forces are fighting Daesh in Iraq is unrealistic. He says the PMF Commission will follow the orders of Prime Minister Abadi. [Mada]​​ 


The Mayor of Baaj says PMFs delayed their advances to the south toward Al-Qa’im because of a Daesh counter-attack. Informed sources say Iraqi Army 15th​​ division will join the PMFs in west Ninewa and attack Baaj.​​

Demining department in Erbil says a member of the demining team was killed by a land​​ mine while scanning for mines in​​ the​​ Soran area in Erbil. The mine is expected to be of the remains of the Iraq-Iran war in the eighties. [ROJ]
