The JOC issued a statement saying it captured the terrorist cell responsible for the recent attacks in Baghdad. [Ghad]

 

The Canadian Ambassador says Canada will increase the number of its military trainers in Iraq from 69 to 450. Canada will also provide Iraqi forces with weapons, equipment and vehicles, and will deploy helicopters and appoint liaison officers in the Iraqi MoD. [Rudaw]

 

A Baghdad Operations Command source says the BOC is implementing a new security plan and preparing for more Daesh attacks in Baghdad before the Falluja liberation operations. [Sumaria]

 

A member of the CoR’s Security and Defense Committee says the Committee hosted security and intelligence commanders to discuss the recent attacks. He also says the Committee will host the Ministers of Defense and Interior on Sunday. [Mada]

 

The Sunni alliance issued a statement holding the Prime Minister responsible for the safety of “Sunni people and their representatives” after the Kata’eb Hezbollah spokesman accused the Sunni alliance of “implementing a foreign powers agenda” and threatened them. The Chairman of the Khaldiya subdistrict council says Coalition warplanes destroyed a Daesh IED factory in the industrial area in Falluja city, killing 13 terrorists and destroying several vehicles. [Mada]

DaeshDaily comment. In just this one neighborhood in Ramadi, Iraqi forces have defused dozens of houses and hundreds of IEDs during the last few months, and they are not done yet. This is not only about stopping Iraqi forces; it’s about punishing the people in Ramadi who resisted Daesh.

The Jazeera Operations Commander says Iraqi forces killed 2 Daesh terrorists in an SUV in the Dolab area. [Mada]

The Jazeera Operations Commander says Iraqi forces killed 6 Daesh terrorists and destroyed 2 machine gun-mounted vehicles in the Barwana area in Haditha. Rutba/Western Anbar

The Chairman of the Security Committee in Anbar Provincial Council says Iraqi forces handed Rutba over to its district government after the city was liberated from Daesh. [BasNews]

Rutba. The IWMC says Iraqi forces captured the Karabla Bridge near Rutba. [Baghdadia]

The JOC says Iraqi forces liberated the Korean village west of Rutba. [Buratha]

The IFP says its troops defused a Daesh vehicle bomb in Rutba. [Harbi]

 

The Jazeera Operations Command issued a summary of its operations to date, saying its troops, supported by Iraqi and Coalition airpowers and tribal fighters, killed more than 1,300 terrorists, and destroyed more than 300 vehicles, defused or destroyed 4,000 IEDs, and liberated more than 30 cities and villages. It also says Iraqi forces stopped more than 60 attacks on Haditha and 25 on Baghdadi. [Harbi]

DaeshDaily comment. The Haditha and Baghdadi resistance to Daesh attacks is legendary. In total, and for the last two years, Daesh attacked the two cities hundreds of times, but the people just stood their ground and refused to give in.

Shirqat

A Salahuddin Operations Command source says the IAA destroyed a Daesh headquarters in Sheikh Hamad village in Shirqat, killing 5 terrorists. The IAA also destroyed a Daesh ferry and several boats in east Shirqat. [Ghad]

Kata’eb Hezbollah says it shelled a Daesh gathering in the Makhoul Mountains area with mortars, killing 9 terrorists, wounding 20, and destroying several vehicles. [Harbi]

A police source says two Iraqi soldiers were killed and two wounded when an IED exploded on the patrol in the Al-A’ali village east of Baquba. [Maalomah]

 

Muqdadiya/Abu Saida

Mosul

The IWMC says Coalition warplanes killed the new Daesh new wali of south Mosul in an airstrike on his vehicle near Tiloul Nasser village, north of Qayara. Coalition warplanes also killed the Daesh sharia “judge” and 3 of his associates near the Qayara Bridge. [Baghdadia]

Photos of a graduation ceremony at an elementary school in Najaf. By the end of the ceremony, the children participated in a play where some of them, dressed in security uniforms, surrounded another kid dressed as a Daesh terrorist. [Harbi]

REPORTS FROM TURKEY

 

Turkish sources say a Daesh terrorist detonated his explosives vest when security forces raided his hideout in Gaziantep. Another terrorist was captured in the hideout and additional casualties were reported. [ARA]

 

Five people were killed, including a Syrian refugee, and five wounded by the 4 mortar shells that fell Wednesday on Kilis, just north of the Syrian border. [Cihan]

 

REPORTS FROM SYRIA

 

Northeast (Hasaka, Raqqa)

Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently says warplanes launched four raids today morning on the Al-Hamrat area, east of Raqqa, killing an entire family and destroying 7 houses.
Also warplanes launched another five raids targeting the Municipal Stadium in Raqqa city center.
The warplanes and drones flew over Raqqa city for more than half an hour before and after the raids.
RBSS reporters in both eastern and western suburbs of Raqqa reported that warplanes flew over both regions. Warplanes and drones also flew over the YPG-controlled Tal Abyad. [RBSS]
An eyewitness says a car exploded in Tal Abyad, wounding its owner and two children. The YPG reported earlier that Daesh was rigging civilian cars with explosives and selling them to people in other areas. [Hawar]

 

Daesh publishes photos of publicly executing and then crucifying three young men after accusing them of “spying” (one for the Coalition, one for the Free Syrian Army, and one for the regime). [JustPaste]

DaeshDaily comment. The choice between living under Daesh or under Assad dictatorship couldn’t be clearer, but there must be another choice.  If the opposition wants to do anything, it has to deal with this issue and provide these kids with the means to get proper education.

Daesh captured several military positions from the Syria Army in the Jazal area, while Syrian troops captured several Daesh positions near Sha’er oilfield after heavy Russian airstrikes. [Qasioun]

Daesh issues a video, from its Homs wilaya, talking about the “suffering of Muslims” in India, and threating to conduct terrorist attacks there. [DawaAlhaq]

DaeshDaily comment. Again, when Daesh loses ground it shows such videos to give the impression that it is still “expanding.” However, Daesh forgot to mention that the 150 million Muslims in India are not takfiris, and hence its terrorists will kill them, if they can, and not protect them. India, the biggest democracy on earth, has its problems like any other country, but Daesh is not the solution for any of them. In general, this video is another bad joke.

 

East (Deir Ez-Zor)

Eight civilians were killed and “tens” wounded in Syrian airstrikes on Deir Ez-Zor. The battles continued between the Syrian Army and Daesh in Al-Sina’a neighborhood and Syrian warplanes bombed the area. Syrian warplanes and artillery targeted villages around the Deir Ez-Zor military airport. [Qasioun]

 

A Syrian military source says Syrian troops destroyed several Daesh vehicles, including 2 vehicle bombs, and killed a group of terrorists near the Panorama barricade. Syrian troops also killed 3 Daesh terrorists and destroyed a pickup truck loaded with weapons in Marai’ya village, east of Deir Ez-Zor military airport. The source says Syrian troops killed more Daesh terrorists in the Sina’a and Urfi neighborhoods and destroyed their vehicles. [SANA]

A Syrian military source says Syrian troops stopped a Daesh group attempting to infiltrate the Lajat area, between Daraa and Suwayda, killing or wounding several terrorists. [SANA]

North Africa

Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Aviation says an Egyptian plane flying from Paris to Cairo crashed, killing 66 people, including thirty Egyptians, fifteen French, and two Iraqis, in addition to people from 8 other countries. [Maalomah]

 

Two policemen were wounded when an IED exploded on their patrol, south of Sheikh Zuweid. [VetoGate]

 

Local sources say a woman and her five children were killed when a rocket fell on their house in the Zawar’a area, south of Sheikh Zuweid. [VetoGate]

 

Daesh supporters issue a report about the suffering of the people of Sinai, especially women, because of the Egyptian Army military operations. [DawaAlhaq]

That reports includes the story of an elementary school boy who was asked in an exam to write a segment about the virtue of mothers. He wrote “My mother died, and everything died with her,” creating a social media firestorm. Daesh exploited the story and claimed the boy’s mother was killed by the Egyptian Army in Sinai. The boy didn’t know he would become an instant celebrity and senior government officials would talk to him. In this segment the boy says his mother died 5 years ago. [VetoGate]

Northeast

Medical sources say three people were killed and nine wounded when a mortar shell fell on a market in Benghazi. [AfriGate]

 

The Libyan Army spokesman says Libyan helicopters and artillery targeted Daesh in Qawarsha. He also says the terrorists took advantage of the bad weather and smuggled in “2 or 3” bulldozers. [Libya24]
