  • Jazeera Operations Command says Daesh launched massive attack on Khasfa area in Haditha district in Anbar from three sides but the Iraqi forces supported by the PMFs and tribal fighters managed to stop the attack and killed 23 terrorists and destroyed 7 of their vehicles.

Daesh says the two suicide bombers who attacked the Iraqi forces in Khasfa were terrorists from France and publishes their photos.

Anbar GC asks the Iraqi government to send reinforcements to Al-Waleed border with Syria because the Iraqi forces there are not enough and Daesh controls the border from the Syrian side. A member of the GC said later the Iraqi forces evacuated the employees of Al-Waleed center and the center is still under the Iraqi forces control.

A source in Anbar Operations Command says 7 Daesh terrorists, including 3 suicide bombers, were killed when they attacked the Iraqi forces in Al-Rakaa’ border station near Al-Waleed center.

The Chairman of the Local Council in Parwana sub-district in Anbar warns Daesh terrorists are gathering in Hit with heavy weapons and equipment. He says the terrorists are preparing to attack Haditha west of Ramadi and asks the government to send urgent reinforcements.

A source in Anbar Operations Command says Daesh control the Haditha Asphalt Factory. He says Iraqi forces launched an attack to retake the factory and killed 9 Daesh terrorists and destroyed many of their vehicles.

  • Jazeera Operations Command says its forces supported by the Iraqi Army Aviation killed 25 Daesh terrorists and destroyed 10 car bombs in the 160 Kilo Area in Anbar desert.
  • The leader of Albu Fahad tribe says there was “an obvious treason” when security forces withdrew suddenly from East Hsaiba yesterday and led to Daesh control over 50% of the area.

The Spokesman of the Iraqi MoI denied the report and said the security forces killed 24 Daesh terrorists in Al-Qa’im (West Hsaiba).

Local officials say Daesh terrorists advanced to Albu Fahad and Al-Madheeq areas east of Ramadi after controlling East Hsaiba.

  • PM Abadi says what happened in Anbar was a security breach and Daesh didn’t achieve a strategic victory there. He says the forces withdrew without an order from him and an investigation is underway to the reasons.
  • Anbar GC asks PM Abadi and the security leaders to arrest and punish any security member who runs from the fights against Daesh.
  • A source in Anbar Police Command says a new wave of displacement from Anbar has started after Daesh took over more areas east of Ramadi. He says hundreds of families are walking in the desert towards Baghdad under severe weather conditions. He also says Daesh terrorists attacked the Iraqi forces in Al-Falahat area with three car bombs. The Iraqi forces killed two terrorists before they reach their goals but the third one managed to set off the bomb in his vehicle, killing and injuring many soldiers. He says the clashes are still ongoing in the area.

A member of Anbar GC says the Iraqi government closed Bziabiz crossroad again and prevented displaced families from entering Baghdad without giving any reasons.

Sources in Baghdad Operations Command say 1,500 families from Anbar were allowed to enter Baghdad but there are still thousands of families stuck in Bzaibiz.

  • A security source says the Iraqi Air Force launched heavy airstrikes on Daesh gatherings near Khaldiya east of Ramadi. He says Iraqi forces and the PMFs started to create sand barricades preparing for Daesh attacks.

A major from Anbar Police says Daesh terrorists control outposts east of Ramadi and became closer to Khaldiya. He says the terrorists controlled Al-Sidiqiya Bridge and are 500 meters away from the town. He also says the terrorists are bombing the town heavily.

The Spokesman of the IRAQI Joint Operations Command says the Iraqi forces control Khaldiya completely and the defense line is more than 4 KMs away west and north of the town.

  • A local source says dozens of Daesh supporters were killed in a Coalition airstrike on downtown Ramadi while they were gathering to pledge allegiance to Daesh leader.
  • An unidentified security source says Iraqi forces evacuated the families from the residential compound in Baghdadi town in Anbar after heavy bombing from Daesh. The source says Daesh might attack the town soon.
  • A Shia MP from Dawa says the Coalition mistakenly bombed Quwat Al-Shaheed Al-Sadr in Anbar killing and injuring many of their militia. The QSS is a Shia militia linked to Dawa party. It has 6,500 registered with the PMFs and 7,000 unregistered fighters in addition to 3,000 reserve fighters.
  • The General Secretary of the QSS says their Fursan Brigade, under the Command of Baghdad Operations, attacked Daesh in the Gypsum Factories area in Qarma and killed 7 Daesh terrorists and destroyed a booby-trapped oil tank. He also says his troops are moving ahead with the Iraqi Army’s 1st and 17th Divisions.

Baghdad Operations Command says Iraqi forces supported by Iraqi Army Aviation liberated areas east of Qarma and killed 27 Daesh terrorists including a Daesh military leader.

  • A source in the Iraqi MoI says the Minister of Interior replaced five local police commanders in Ramadi and sent them to military investigation. The Anbar Police Commander was also replaced, and sent to military investigation two days ago.
  • Local sources say 5 civilians, including 3 children, were killed and 4 injured in Coalition and Iraqi bombing on Albu Shiji crossroad in Falluja.
  • Local sources say 8 members of Kate’b Hezbollah were killed and 13 injured in a Katysha attack on their convoy near Mazraa’ area south east of Falluja.
  • A source in the PUK says the Iraqi Golden Division killed one of Baghdadi’s (Daesh leader) top advisors in Anbar. Adnan Latif Al-Dulaim (aka Abu Muhannad Al-Swaidawi) was a colonel in Saddam’s army and he was responsible for many terrorist attacks in Kirkuk.
  • A source in Anbar police says an 18 months old girl died in a displaced people camp in Samarra because of the high temperature in the camp.
  • A security source in Salahuddin says Daesh terrorists started to detonate the pipelines and the oil units in Baiji Refinery after the Iraqi forces managed to advance inside the refinery.
  • Daesh publishes photos of the fights in west Baiji.
  • An Iraqi Army Commander says 8,000 PMF fighters, including Saraya Al-Salam (the Sadrist militia), arrived in Samarra to participate in an operation in the Salahuddin desert. He says the operation will start in the coming days to secure the borders between Anbar and Salahuddin after Daesh recent activities in the area.
  • A source in Samarra Operations Command says the Iraqi forces supported by tribal fighters and the Iraqi Army Aviation launched a major operation to clear the road between Tikrit and Baiji.
  • A security source says the Iraqi forces killed 16 Daesh terrorists and destroyed 3 car bombs in an operation to clear Hawi Al-Hajjaj area in north Tikrit.

A source in Salahuddin Operations Command says 4 PMFs members were killed in a booby-trapped house in Hawi Al-Hajjaj.

  • Iraqi Federal Police say the police managed to destroy two Daesh boats and kill the terrorists inside them while they were trying to sneak to Al-Muhazzam area in north Tikrit.
  • Sistani rep in Kerbala says some military leaders are trying to break the will of the Iraqi soldiers in the battles and they should be replaced.
  • Iraqi Federal Police Command says a police force arrested two Daesh terrorists in Querish area in south Baghdad. He says one of the two terrorists is the leader of Daesh’s “sleeping cells” in south Baghdad.
  • A source in the Iraqi MoI says one person was killed and 5 injured when an IED exploded inside a small bus in Shaab area in north Baghdad.

Another source in the MoI says an employee in the Ministry of Finance was killed and his wife injured when a sticker IED exploded in their car in Bayya’ area in south Baghdad.

A third source in the MoI says one person was killed and 8 injured when an IED exploded near a popular market in Mada’en in south Baghdad.

A fourth source says one person was killed and 6 injured when an IED exploded near a sheep market in Suwaib area in south Baghdad.

A security source says 3 PMFs members injured when a sticker IED exploded in their car in Zaafaraniya area in south east Baghdad.

  • A member of Baghdad GC says Daesh terrorists, who came with the displaced families, started to use different tactics to confuse the security situation in Baghdad like armed robberies and other organized crime activities.
  • Iraqi Deputy PM Rowsh Shaways says Daesh is on Baghdad gates now. He also says the Iraqi army should be developed and the PMFs should join the security forces.
  • Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement say 11,000 new families were registered as displaced families in Kerbala and Dhi Qar.
  • The Security Committee in Basra says a government employee who is on the terrorist list was arrested in Basra airport when he arrived from Baghdad. An investigation was opened to check how a wanted person could fly from Baghdad Airport.

  • A security source in Diyala says one civilian was killed and 3 were injured when an IED exploded inside a car in Qara Tappa town.
  • The Mayor of Muqdadiya District in Diyala says 4,600 displaced families returned to their houses in the villages in the north-east of the district. He also says the local government is trying to provide all the necessary services in those areas.
  • A local source in Kirkuk says Daesh ordered the men in Hawija to release their beards; otherwise they would be punished with 80 lashes. The source also says Daesh mobilized female “biters” whose job is to bite the women in the streets who don’t follow the Daesh dressing code.
  • A security source says 19 Daesh terrorists were killed and many of their vehicles destroyed in a precise airstrike on their convoy while they were trying to leave Hamdaniya District east of Mosul. The source says Daesh terrorists started to change their locations after the repeated airstrikes on their hideouts.
  • Local sources say Daesh allowed 3 companies to provide internet services in Mosul but the companies should pay monthly fees to Daesh. The sources also say the companies provided Daesh with names of all their subscribers enabling Daesh to spy on them. Daesh had cut the mobile phone and internet services in the city in February.
  • Local sources in Mosul say 50 people were killed and 75 injured and 20 houses destroyed when the Coalition bombed a Daesh weapons storehouse in a residential area west of Mosul.

  • A source in the Peshmerga says the Coalition launched an airstrike on Daesh in Kaski and killed most of the terrorists in location. The source says the airstrike was based on exact information provided by the Peshmerga.
  • The sixth installment of an Iraqi journalist’s diaries about the heaven of Daesh in Mosul. The “journalist” used to be one of Saddam’s son’s reporters then joined the “resistance” and then went to Finland. He recently joined Daesh in Mosul and started to write his diaries. This time he writes about how good Daesh prisons are and how humanely they treat their prisoners.
  • 19 people were killed and 100 injured in a suicide attack on a Shia mosque in the Qateef area in Saudi Arabia. Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack and said the terrorist who bombed himself inside the mosque was called Abu Amer Al-Najdi. Daesh promised the Shia in Saudi Arabia with more “black days”.

Daesh also announced the establishment of Wilayah Najd.

  • Salahuddin Operations Command says the Iraqi forces managed to enter Baiji refinery and merge with the Iraqi forces there after liberating the road to the refinery completely. The SOC also says many Daesh terrorists were killed in the operation.

The General Secretary of Asa’eb Ahl Al-Haq says the AAH and the SOC managed to break the siege on Baiji refinery and free 300 Iraqi soldiers who were trapped there.

Daesh denied the news about Baiji and says the Iraqi forces are still outside the refinery.

 

  • PM Abadi says in his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin Daesh control over Ramadi is temporary and it will end soon.

Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs says “unlike other countries we don’t put conditions on arming Iraq”. He also says Russia will meet all possible requests in order to make sure the Iraqi government is able to get rid of terrorism.

 

  • A security source says the Iraqi forces managed to advance in Al-Siniya town near Baiji and will liberate the town completely in the coming days. He also says Daesh terrorists started to escape from the areas north of Tikrit.

 

 

  • Iraqi MoD says the Iraqi forces killed 3 Daesh foreign terrorists in Qarma town north east of Falluja. The terrorists were from Syria, Somalia and Jordan. The Syrian terrorist Abu Abdullah Al-Shami was the military commander of Daesh in Qarma.

 

  • Iraqi MoD says thousands of PMFs fighters arrived to the Iraqi Army’s 1st Division’s sector in Qarma to participate in the liberation battle.

Iraqi MoD also says 25 Daesh terrorists including 2 snipers were killed and 14 Daesh hideouts were destroyed in addition to 5 booby-trapped houses and 20 IEDs in the ongoing operations in Qarma.

A member of Anbar GC says more reinforcements from the Iraqi security forces and PMFs are arriving to Khaldiya district in Anbar and preparing for the liberation battles.

Iraqi Minister of Defense visited the Iraqi forces in Habbaniya base in Khaldiya district and meets with the soldiers and the PMFs there.

A major in the Iraqi police says Daesh controlled Sheikh Masoud area near Khaldiya and advancing towards the town. He also says the Iraqi forces in Khaldiya are well prepared but there are no PMFs there.

 

  • A security source says dozens of Daesh terrorists were killed in an Iraqi Army Aviation airstrikes on different areas in Ramadi.

 

  • General Qassem Al-Mhmdi, Anbar Operations Commander, says he is going back to work after being injured last month. He also says AOC has prepared a comprehensive plan to liberate Anbar from Daesh.

 

  • Anbar Governor says the Iraqi forces supported by the PMFs and the tribal fighters are preparing to liberate Ramadi from the east and the south sides.

A third source says Daesh terrorists managed to infiltrate Hsaiba and burn the guesthouse of a prominent leader of Albu Fahad tribe there.

The Chairman of Anbar GC says Daesh controlled Hsaiba and Albu Fahad beside Al-Tanif border center on the Syrian side.

Al-Suqoor Intelligence Cell in the Iraqi MoI says it got information about Daesh terrorists gathering in Hsaiba and coordinated airstrikes with the Iraqi Air Force killing and injuring 43 Daesh terrorists.

 

  • The Chairman of the Local Council in Baghdadi town asks the Iraqi government to send the Federal Police to the area because of “serious concerns” about the security situation.

  • A source in the Iraqi police says the police raided a house in Al-Ameen area east Baghdad looking for a suspect. The source say the man, who is a displaced person from Ramadi, was wearing a suicide belt opened fire and injured three policemen but the police managed to kill him.

Another source in the IP says armed men dressed as Iraqi soldiers in SUVs attacked a government employee in in Hay Al-Adel area west of Baghdad and stole around $140,000 worth of salaries he was carrying to his department.

A police officer says an IED exploded in Al-Ameen area east of Baghdad killing one civilian and injuring 6.

Another IED exploded in Tuwaitha area south east of Baghdad targeting a police patrol. One policeman was killed and four were injured. A third IED exploded in Doura area south of Baghdad killing one civilian and injuring 5.

A security source says a body of a man was found shot and dead in Doura area south of Baghdad.

Another security source says a member of the PMFs was found dead and his body was thrown on the road in Abu Ghrieb area in west Baghdad.

 

  • Deputy Prime Minster Saleh Al-Mutlaq says there are some “ineffective and corrupted” political powers inside the Iraqi Parliament who are trying to remove PM Abadi from his position. He also criticized the guarantor rule that prevents some of the displaced people from Anbar from entering other Iraqi cities.

 

  • A prominent Sunni politician says only 5% of Sunni Iraqi joined Daesh. He also says treating the displaced people from Anbar badly was one of the reasons more people are joining the terrorists.

 

  • The Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi Parliament asks PM Abadi to extend the amnesty period one more month. Abadi gave the amnesty to the Iraqi security forces members who left their positions after Daesh attacks.

 

  • Diwaniya Police Commander says the police launched a campaign in the governorate and arrested 145 people wanted for terrorist and criminal charges.

 

  • The local government in Wasit says 170 displaced families arrived from Ramadi recently. They also say the men of the displaced families will join the PMFs according to the Wasit GC’s resolution.

 

  • Basra TV showed the confessions of three men who were arrested by the Iraqi Intelligence Service for financing Daesh. The men say they were caught trying to deposit 160,000 counterfeit US dollars in a local office in order to transfer the money to Daesh in Mosul. The men are from Basra and they say they joined Al-Qaeda in 2004 and participated in many terrorist activities in the city.

 

  • An official source says more than 10 families left their houses in Zaghniya near Abbara town in Diyala after the recent violence in the area. The sources say the situation calmed down after the security forces and the tribal leaders intervened.

 

  • A security source says an IED exploded near a Sunni Mosque in Muqdadiya in Diyala on Wednesday killing the Imam of the mosque and injuring two others.

 

  • A security source says an IED exploded on a patrol killing two policemen and injuring a commander in the PMFs in Buhruz town in Diyala.

 

  • Local sources say body of a school teacher was found in north Baaquba in Diyala. The teacher was kidnapped by the militias a month ago.

 

  • A security source in Kirkuk says Daesh informed the families of 12 young men Daesh “court” decided to execute their sons accusing them of joining or collaborating with the Iraqi security sources. Daesh also told the families not to have any funeral ceremonies. The men were taken by Daesh in areas west and south of Kirkuk.

 

  • The Security Committee in Kirkuk says it decided to close all the roads lead to areas under Daesh control including Hawija town and will not allow any movement of any kind on these roads.

 

  • Unconfirmed news says Daesh leader was hit in a Coalition airstrike in Mosul.

 

  • A source in Ninewa police says the Peshmerga reinforced their positions in the areas near of Mosul preparing for an attack from Daesh.

 

  • A local source says the Iraqi Army Aviation launched an airstrike on a weapon storehouse in the left side of Mosul city and killed 3 Daesh terrorists.

Iraqi MoD says the Army Aviation destroyed a Daesh oil refinery in Rayhaniya area in Tal Afar west of Mosul.

 

  • A local source in Mosul says Daesh destroyed the Minaret of Nabi Jirjees Shrine in Mosul. The Minaret was the last construction remaining from Nabi Jirjees Mosque was also destroyed by Daesh terrorists. The source says Daesh turned the Minaret area into a parking lot.

 

 

  • A local source says the Coalition launched an airstrike on a house used by Daesh as a weapon storehouse in Rifa’ area in the right side of Mosul. The source says the house belongs to a displaced family and many nearby houses were harmed by the explosions continued for some time after the airstrike.

 

  • A member of the Iraqi Parliament’s Investigative Committee about the fall of Mosul says the Committee will send questions to Iraqi Vice Presidents Maliki and Nujaifi and to the KRG President Barzani today and give them a week to answer the questions.
