Falluja city. A Security Committee member in the Baghdad Provincial Council says around 3,500 Daesh terrorists have been killed in Falluja. He says all Daesh defensive lines in the city were destroyed and there are less than 200 terrorists remaining in the city, and their mission is to keep Iraqi forces occupied and not to defend the area. He also says there is no need for large troops to remain in Falluja, and it was a good thing that Iraqi forces headed to the north in order not to give Daesh a chance to rest. [Etejah]

DaeshDaily comment. At some point soon, we hope some of these expert Iraq analysts and journalists will recognize how good Al-Abadi’s commander-in-chief leadership has been. Before the sectarian politicians and media could line up all their propaganda to derail the Falluja campaign, Iraqi forces took control of almost the entire city. Now the government is so confident about Falluja it has already moved its best troops to Shirqat and they are apparently about to enter the city. Al-Abadi is now a few days ahead of the news cycle, which may catch up with Falluja about the time Iraq has taken care of Shirqat.

Daesh issues a propaganda video of battles in Salahuddin. [DawaAlhaq]

DaeshDaily comment. Conducting a suicide attack does not mean you won the battle; neither does destroying a vehicle; neither does posing confidently for a Daesh video. Daesh may be having some winning moments, but today’s developments in Salahuddin seem to show that Iraqi forces have returned to reclaim the rest of Salahuddin and that Daesh’s remaining territory there is about to be lost. At the propaganda level, Daesh is always victorious (even when it isn’t.)

Tikrit

Daesh claimed responsibility for killing a tribal PMF leader and two of his associates and burning down his house and vehicle in the Al-Aith area. [JustPaste]

He says the intelligence reported that the Daesh leader, Awwad Baghdadi, sent a message to sleeper cells in the area, asking them to attack religious sites in Diyala in order to start sectarian tension. [Sumaria]

DaeshDaily comment. Even if you could teach old dogs new tricks, old dogs will still keep doing the old tricks.

Northern Diyala

A local source says Daesh established a “motorcycle battalion” near Qara Tapa subdistrict, consisting of 30-40 terrorists. The source says the terrorists sneak into areas where there are no police, and have kidnapped, killed, extorted money from people in the past few months. [Sumaria]

DaeshDaily comment. This is the real Daesh–a criminal gang. Such crimes have been happening since 2003. And most likely they will increase after Daesh loses its grip on more cities. People with military and security backgrounds can terrorize peaceful communities, especially when the government is not strong enough to protect its citizens.

Neighboring countries

Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Ministry of Interior spokesman says the twins who beheaded their mother and severely wounded their father and their brother in Riyadh were affected by “takfiri thinking,” saying it was unlikely they were linked to terrorist organizations. [Ajel]

A video of the crime scene [YouTube]

Several media outlets and social media sources said the terrorist pledged allegiance to Daesh, and a major Saudi cleric said the twins were following a “takfiri line”.

DaeshDaily comment. The same cleric has presumed the authority to issue fiery takfiri fatwas against the vast majority of Muslims on Earth and has a website that promotes this line of thinking, according to other Salafi clerics. The radicalization of Muslim communities, all over the world, starts from such fatwas. The hatred generated by this thinking is now dividing families and making sons kill their own parents. Daesh is the fruit of this poisonous tree.

Daesh online supporters are trying to deny that the 2 Saudi twins in the Saudi Arabia story above are linked to Daesh. They say Daesh told its supporters to kill family members who are in the Army or the police. [Ana Al-Muslim]

In the propaganda video, however, a Saudi Daesh terrorist says that Daesh supporters should disown their “murtad” family members, including their fathers, then kill them. [YouTube]

In this video from last year, a Saudi Daesh supporter kills his own cousin, a soldier. Daesh praised the crime in an “official” statement. [YouTube]

Two Facebook pages expose Daesh local terrorists in Anbar and Ninewa respectively. They show names and photos of Daesh terrorists and where they are now. The vast majority of the reactions to the posts condemn the terrorists. However, some people, especially in Anbar, defend some of the names published for Anbar and say they are innocent. This reflects a major problem for the Iraqi government, which depends on local sources to identify Daesh terrorists. In some cases, and because of family ties (or grudges), the judgment is not always right. [Facebook] [Facebook]

In Friday prayers, Daesh speakers say the people of Mosul have just entered Islam. [Facebook]

The irony is that even if Mosul were the most religious Sunni city in Iraq (which is not really our opinion), being a Sunni is not enough for Daesh to consider you a Muslim. You have to be loyal to Daesh to be a real Muslim.
