DaeshDaily comment: This takfir (calling Muslims heretics) is a typical proclamation of radical extremists. It started with elements in the Salafi movements and was cemented by the writings of the early founders of the Muslim Brothers who claimed that anyone who lives under and supports or doesn’t revolt against the Muslim rulers is a heretic. In recent publications, Daesh showed its terrorists killing people for accusations like “blasphemy” or “cussing God” and most likely these people just refused to pledge allegiance to Awwad or mentioned his name in the wrong way. The end goal for such groups is to get power by terrorizing people in the name of religion.
